Allergy Season

Here are a few tips to help you with those itchy, watery eyes. Don't rub your eyes! Just like scratching a mosquito bite it will make the itching worse. Use a cold compress. Wrap a few ice cubes in a clean wash and lay it on your closed eyelids gently for about 10 minutes at a time. Rinse with eye wash several times a day to minimize the pollen sitting in your eyes especially right before bedtime. If these tips don't solve the problem then set up an appointment with Dr. Amy to see if some prescription eye drops may be needed for your eyes.

Eye Care for Infants and Children

It is never too early to insure good vision throughout your lifetime.

The American Optometric Association recommends that every child have a comprehensive eye examination beginning at 6 months of age. Dr. Amy is a provider for the InfantSEE program which provides a one time, no cost comprehensive eye examination to children between the ages of 6 and 12 months.

Come see our pediatric exam room!

We have a room designed just for kids around 3 years old and under. It is free from all of the "scary-looking" equipment that we use for an adult eye exam. Dr. Amy will use hand held equipment, lights and toys to evaluate your child's vision and eye health while they sit in your lap or on the floor. InfantSEE Patient History Form.pdf
